This week in Nursery we are looking for the colour ‘red’. If you spot something red, why not ask an adult to take a photograph of it or bring in the object to show your teachers and friends in Nursery and then we can add it to our display in the classroom.
Children in Nursery enjoyed a visit to the school library. We found lots of books all about colours. Then we shared our own class book ‘Eye Spy Colours’.
Children in Nursery have enjoyed playing ‘I spy with my little eye’. We have found lots of colours around the library, our classroom and we even went to spot colours in Year 1 classroom on Friday, shhh, don’t tell Miss Field and Year 1!
On the last day of term we walked down to church for our school Christmas assembly. We enjoyed listening to the Christmas story and readings shared by children in Year 6. We all joined in singing Christmas songs including When Santa got Stuck up the Chimney, Frosty the Snowman, We Wish you a Merry Christmas and Away in a Manager.
Thank you to the volunteers for helping us walk to the church.
We were very excited about our Christmas lunch, the children (and adults) had lots of fun this year with a surprise visit from Rudolf!
We have had a very busy couple of weeks in Foundation Stage. Children in Nursery and Reception came up with lots of ideas for our enterprise competition at this years Christmas Fair. After a class vote, we decided to make our own Christmas tree decorations and Rudolf shortbread biscuits. Thank you to all of our customers at the Christmas Fair, we hope you will support us again next year!
Parents and Carers,
Please could you post on Tapestry any Christmas activities or days out you have enjoyed over the holidays. Perhaps you could add any family traditions or routines you have at Christmas! Please use speech marks if you are typing a direct quote from your child. We will sharing these posts with your children and their friends next term. We look forward to seeing all of your posts on Tapestry. Have fun!

On the first day back in January, the children in Reception will be having a slumber party as part of the memorable experience to introduce our new topic ‘Colours of Day and Night’. Reception children can come in their pyjamas and bring their favourite teddy for the day. Please check your child’s book bag for a letter with more details. Please see the letter below if you cannot locate your letter!
